The Living Community

The Roshni community is centralized by one house in particular, where students, volunteers and staff members alike live.

Meals are shared in the community house, as well as the ever-present number of household chores that are needed in order to maintain the living space. Students are given specific and appropriate daily chores, to both nurture their individual aptitude as well as sustain the general attitude of inclusiveness within Roshni. The daily rhythm created by meals, workshops, taking tea, walks, artistic activities and household duties is for both the students and the staff, giving something from which to look forward to and depend on.

A second community house is currently under construction; expanding housing of course means that there will be more availability for new students to live at Roshni, expanding on the ten that live there already.

Due to several differing reasons, many students cannot live at home anymore, and the community house welcomes students to come and live within the wholesome rhythms that make up a day at The Roshni Association.
